Green Dot comes out swinging for summer with record performance

Game Summary

With the bitter taste of a last second championship game festering all spring, the Green Dot Ballers were champing at the bit to turn the page. They let out their frustrations on an unsuspecting newcomer to the City of Alexandria. Walloping the STB Eagle squad in the first game of summer league 80-40. It was never a contest, with the Ballers jumping out to a 17-2 lead behind a barrage of inside and outside shots. Mike Reamy's consecutive 3s with 4 minutes left in the first half signaled that the rout was on. Second half was more of the same with the Green Dot Crew blasting to a franchise record 40 point win.

Mike Reamy (#10) hits one of his six three pointers in the game.

Headlines

R333333amy!!! - Mike Reamy came out on a mission to start summer league. The Green Dot legend splashed his way to 5 first half three pointers from all types of varieties. From the corner, from the wing, off the fast break....didn't matter. Reamy was cash money and made sure it rained on his way to six threes in 8 tries. Let's hear what Lebron has to say...

Bombs Away - The Green Dot Flamethrowers torched the nets for 11 threes, but it wasn't a record. The Ballers have had about a dozen games with double figure three pointers, but the recorded record was last winter (3/14/23) vs Self Check when GDB nailed 14 of 31 3s in a 76-55 victory.

Hulk Smash!!!!- The 40 point margin of victory was the largest in franchise history just topping the drubbings handed to the Bullets in 2018.

MVP

Mike Reamy - The Green Dot sniper set the tone early with a blistering run of threes and finished with a game high 20 points in leading the record setting blow out. Had his most efficient game with 78% from the field and 75% from 3. Wow!!
