Joy Boys finally break thru against GDB

Game Summary

Neither team could get a rhythm on offense in the first half as the teams slugged it out to a 22-21 score at halftime. Joy Boys gained initial control of the game with a 10-2 run to start the second half. Green Dot could get it no closer than six the rest of the way as Joy Boys moved to 3-0 with a 58-43 victory.

Joy Boys get Off the Schneid - Green Dot had defeated its long time rivals five games in a row stretching back to summer of 2023. The last win by Joy Boys was in the Winter league semis in 2023. The five game streak matched the longest in the rivalry since GDB won that many from 2018-2019. GDB currently leads the all time series 15-10, dating back 9 years to January 2016.

Brickfest 2025 - Enough to build a wall, a house and then some, 29% from the field, 23% from 3 and 50% from the line. An unsightly shooting display that snuffed any hopes of a comeback in the second half.

Tony Wroblicky - Really not much good news other than the GDB center who was the only Baller to shoot over 38%, with his 6 for 11 showing. A good sign for the Baller big who was rusty in his first game back last week.
