The Green Dot Ballers resumed their strong summer season by overwhelming the Bullets with a franchise-record 12 three point field goals on their way to a blowout win 76-51. Seven different Ballers found their way into the scorebook from downtown.

GDB hit a franchise record 12 3PT FGs on its way to a 76-51 win.

After exchanging baskets in the opening minutes of the game, point guard Chris Larson would open the three point account and then see his teammates repeatedly cash in throughout the course of a 24-2 streak. Mike Reamy, Chris Harris, Ryan Demagistris and Danny Abatemarco would all find the range from outside as the Ballers constantly found the open man to great success. By the end of the barrage, GDB was held a commanding lead and saw the margin crest at 30-6 with a few minutes left in the first half.

The second half would be more the same as fluid ball movement registered 22 assists on 30 made baskets. Those baskets were often scored by Ed Reddick who splashed home three long range shots of his own as he posted a game-high 21 points, while leading six different Ballers to nine points or more. The only remaining business was to determine whether the franchise records for scoring (81 points) and 3 pointers made (11) would fall. A three pointer by Larson with 2:17 left would give the Ballers their 12th 3PT made, but the scoring record would have to wait for another day as the Ballers would finish with 76 points (fourth best in franchise history).

Box Score vs. Bullets

The Ballers (3-1) will face fifth place Kearney (1-3) on Thursday next week with an eye on securing one of the top two seeds (and the associated bye into the semi-finals) in the post-season tournament.
