The Green Dot Ballers continued to right the ship during a hard fought 56-51 victory versus the A-Team. The Ballers jumped out to a 9-0 lead that would eventually reach double digits, as Ballers captain Chris Larson led the attack with seven of his nine points on the evening during that run. His spinning drive with 6:26 left in the first half capped off flourish and gave GDB a 20-9 lead.
However, the A-Team would not go quietly as the surged back into the game with a 14-7 run to trail by just four at the break. That would remain the story throughout the game, as every time the Ballers looked like they had forged to a lead that would carry them forward, the A-Team countered with a run of their own to even the game.
Ed Reddick would carry the scoring load in the second half, with eleven of his game high 13 points, including a three point play to take a nine point lead at 39-30 with just under 14 minutes to play. Once again, the A-Team would answer with a 15-6 response that left the teams at 45-45 with 5 minutes to play.
The remainder of the game would be marked by defensive stands and just enough made free throws to carry the Ballers to the win. The win keeps the Ballers in control of their playoff destiny with a rivalry week showdown against the Joy Boys up next to close out the regular season.
