Ballers Wade thru Joy Boys to push win streak to 4

Summary

Rivalry week did not disappoint. Cam Wade torched the nets for a game high 27 points. A typical back and forth affair was knotted at 41 with eight and a half minutes left in the game. The Ballers then displayed their depth and breadth with an 18-2 barrage featuring baskets from six different players scoring from inside and out. When the smoke cleared Green Dot was in total command and finished off the 62-51 victory.

Cam Wade gets up in the midst of his 27 point performance.

Headlines

Bombs away GDB had its up and downs from the field and free throw line, but was locked in from downtown hitting 10 out of 20 for a clean 50%. Wade led five different players who hit threes with 4.

Death, taxes and Tony Dub-le doubles. Tony Wroblicky has been a welcome and consistent force for the Ballers this season. He has provided post presence, rim protection and finds his way to double figures in points each week and (probably rebounds too). With the typical big man depth of GDB lighter this session, he has filled the void better than could have been hoped for.

X-factors Yoon Ji continues to hit big shots in his opportunities this year. Mid-way through the second half he hit a big three pointer to stem a Joy Boys run. Keonte Dennis also provided some great defense with multiple blocked shots and a big three of his own during the game winning run.

MVP

Cam Wade - Wade torched the nets from everywhere (except the FT line!!) 4 three pointers, 60+% from the field for a whopping 27 points!!! Wade did his work on his signature pullups, fastbreaks, crossovers and even tried a putback jam!!! Somehow he still found the time to dish out a game high 5 assists include an absolute laser to Mike Reamy in the opposite corner. He came up just short of the franchise record of 28 points
