Game Summary
In a tightly competed and often chippy game, the Green Dot Ballers prevailed in an OT classic. The GDB had the lead early in this one with a 21-12 first half advantage, but the Self Check point guard kept them in it with 20 points in the first half, doing damage from inside and out. A clutch steal and Cam Wade 3-pointer at the first half buzzer gave GDB the slim 32-29 lead. The second half would feature both teams making runs. It seemed that the Ballers had grabbed control with seven minutes remaining 54-48, but Self Check responded with a 7-0 run to re-take the lead. The Ballers got the big 3 from Chris Harris to send the game to OT and then navigated another deficit to win the game on Cam Wade's steal and score.

Headlines
Comeback (the original) - Down 3 with a minute left the Ballers employed the foul game and when they came up with a steal and fast break it cut the lead to one. When Self Check failed to take advantage at the line (2-4) on the next two posessions, GDB hurried the ball up the court and found Chris Harris in the corner for the game tying three. Self Check could not get organized and did not even attempt a last shot when the clock ran out.
Comeback (the sequel) - With just 3 minutes to play an OT session, scoring first was critical. Self Check did just that, but the Green Dot crew responded with a wild closing sequence. First Charlie Jones was fouled on a drive, but missed both FTs...but he got his own rebound and was fouled again. The clock was running the whole time (tick, tick tick) so with now jsut a minute left Self Check brought the ball up and Cam Wade turned the ballhandler right into the trap he set to pick his pocket and scream down the court with the go ahead basket. A defensive stop led to two clinching free throws to seal the win.
All hands on deck - It was an all out "next man up" game. With captains Mike Reamy and Will Harris out, as well as Danny Abatemarco, the Ballers used their depth with all 8 players scoring and assists on 20 of 27 field goals.

MVP
Cam Wade - Clyde Frazier likes to commend ballplayers that are making things happen as saying "he is dishin and swishin", he might even say "he pilfered the rock". All of these things applied to Wade's performance tonight. He followed up his 28 point game against Self Check earlier this year with 27 more points. He saved his best for last with the key assist to Chris Harris to send the game to overtime, the pick pocket (cookies!!!) to take the lead in overtime and then the two free throws to clinch it - What a game!!!

The new routine...Light the Beam!!!
