Headlines

Sharing is caring - The Green Dot Ballers offense for the first 30 minutes was a model of efficiency and ball movement. 15 of their first 16 baskets came were assisted with the lone individual effort coming on a steal and fast break. Demagistris, Larson and Hall combined for 14 assists on a night where seven of nine Ballers had at least one assist.

Joy Boys up to their old tricks - The Joy Boys are known as both crafty and combustible and at least for this night they were able to use the former and avoid the latter. The Boys employed an Alvarado type steal on the second possession of the game, scored three baskets of cherry picking and converted multiple offensive rebounds into three pointers. In a contest that was nip and tuck for the first 30+ minutes, these served as a key driver to putting them in position to pull away against an undermanned Ballers team.

G(lasgow)-League call ups come thru in a pinch - When the Green Dot crew found itself short on players the call went out to a pair of roommates that had performed well in the G-League. Avery Medlar and Jon Whittacre were able to join the Ballers and made an impact right away. Both hit their first shots and combined for 10 points 66% FG shooting. Their successful performances earned them 2-way contracts with the potential for future call ups.

MVP

Mike Reamy - The co-captain continued his hot shooting from downtown on a night where the Ballers needed scoring. Mike nailed six more threes on high efficiency and led the team with 20 points.
