Game Summary

Straight Cash is making noise in the City of Alexandria League. A week after dropping 90 points on Self Check, they stared down a challenge with the Green Dot Ballers. After Green Dot jumped out to a 10-0 lead, Straight Cash regained their footing and edged in front just before the half 30-29. The game continued in back and forth fashion with neither team leading by more than six until Straight Cash took control of the game with a 14-5 run midway through the second half that put them up 56-45. Green Dot could get it no closer than five the rest of the way.

Headlines

Lack of composure One of the hallmarks of the Green Dot Ballers has been their composure, especially as it relates to the officiating in the City of Alexandria League. Many a game has seen the Ballers the beneficiaries of other teams complaining about referees and drawing Ts and then losing the game. Every once in a while the Ballers let things get away from them and a frustrating night shooting boil over to focusing on the refs. Going forward, gotta return to composure.

Hot start, cold finish Green Dot came out of the gates firing on all cylinders shooting 4-5 from the field and racing out to a 10-0 lead. However they missed their next six shots and allowed Straight Cash to find their footing in the game with 9 straight points of their own. The Ballers shot 41% from the field, missed 5 of their 6 free throws and misfired on 18 from deep.

MVP

Chris Harris - The scoring was balanced and once again everyone except Dmag scored, but Chris Harris provided a spark off the bench with 11 points on 3-4 three point shooting His scoring kept the Ballers in striking distance, but ultimately they weren't able to close the gap.
